WHY CHOOSE ST. GABRIEL?

In collaboration with families, Catholic schools teach the values of our faith and tradition, foster experiences of community and service, and provide educational excellence.

Excellence

A Saint Gabriel education equips students for their futures. We make it our mission to help all students learn and achieve in their own unique ways.

  • 75% of Saint Gabriel graduates go on to the honor or high honor roll at selective high schools throughout Chicago.

  • Saint Gabriel’s students perform well above the national average on the ACT/Aspire test.

  • Graduates go on to excellent Chicago high schools, including De La Salle Institute, St. Rita of Cascia High School, Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School, St. Ignatius College Prep, and Whitney Young Magnet High School.

  • Alumni go on to be leaders in their communities.

Faith

Our school is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual development of our students. Saint Gabriel’s:

  • Celebrates weekly school mass and monthly family mass.

  • Continues to embrace the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy, who oversaw the school for over a hundred years and sought to weave Gospel values into the education of their students.

  • Provides a curriculum that encourages not only academic excellence, but also personal and spiritual growth.

“The legacy of a Catholic education is more than the knowledge imparted to our students; it is the development of a deep and abiding sense of faith, the realization of the value of moral character and the inspiration of a life-long journey of learning.”

–Daniel Cardinal DiNardo
