Thank you for visiting the Web site for Saint Gabriel Catholic Church and School.  The church and school are located in the Canaryville neighborhood in the City of Chicago, Illinois. The parish was founded 130 years ago and built on the strong faith of its Irish immigrants.  Today the community continues to be steeped in the rich traditions of these hardworking people. The Sisters of Mercy dedicated over 100 years of service to the education of the children of the parish, ensuring the values of the Catholic faith were handed down through several generations.
